The Writers Tale: The Final Chapter

In a new book published by BBC Books entitled The Writers Tale The Final Chapter we learn an awful lot about Doctor Who but not only doctor who but Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures also! For Example SFX has published a list of things we never knew about Doctor Who! Two of these points are of great interest to any SJA Fan! For the other 18 please go to the SFX Website.

15. It was also hoped that Martha would team up with Sarah Jane in the climax of season two of The Sarah Jane Adventures. When Freema became unavailable, the Brigadier was used instead.

16. Russell was offered the option to turn The Sarah Jane Adventures into a show airing on Sundays at 5.30pm, which would have required reinventing the series. He decided against it.

Do You Think these points should have happened or do you think that this could happen in the future, Feel free to leave a comment and say what you think!

Doctor Who: The Writers Tale The Final Chapter will be released on 14th January at an RRP of £16.99

  1. Would love to see what the "reinvention" of the SJA would entail for Sunday nights. If it means we get more of Lis Sladen, I'm for it.

Now how about this idea--alien-fighting Earth defender Wilfred Mott teams up with Sarah and her posse in a story. OMG, I'd love to see that! And with Bernard Cribbins' history with children's programming, it would just be so right.
